Solstice Associates was established in early 1999 and incorporated the following
year, trading from offices at Lime Kiln Quay, Woodbridge, Suffolk. Since 1999 Solstice
has enjoyed ongoing success and steady growth, moving to larger premises in the
market town of Hadleigh, Suffolk In 2001 and again in 2007.
What we do
The Solstice team specialises in the development of custom online software and intranet
solutions and interactive resources for a range of uses from public information
services, energy, environmental and whole life cost benchmarking to continuous improvement
and performance management systems.
Building close working relationships with our clients is central to the way we work
and deliver our services. This allows us to understand their needs, which in turn
ensures we are able to provide pertinent advice and support throughout the lifetime
of evolving projects. An essential element of our ongoing client relationships is
our commitment to including technical liaison within the mix of graphic design,
interface and software engineering skills for each project team to ensure clear
communication at all times as part of a straightforward, friendly and transparent
service. This arrangement has been highly successful, seeing projects delivered
to schedule and budget and ensuring that around half our annual turn-over is generated
from repeat business from established clients.
Our proven approach for creating our innovative software solutions and ensuring
success of their operation and use is to focus on user requirements in terms of
modes of access, overall user journey, functionality and performance. We make a
clear distinction between interface and application design and apply the appropriate
mix of skills to deliver fully engineered, efficient and scalable functionality
via secure, highly finished and intuitive interfaces.
The effectiveness of this approach is demonstrated by our extensive portfolio of
applications, tools and resources, developed in support of both public and private
initiatives, sponsored by a range of organisations from universities to central
government.
Why Beach Huts?
We live and work in Suffolk where beach huts are a welcome traditional sight. For
us they are a simple, no-fuss answer to the job they need to do and they do it well,
they sit together and support a diverse community of people, they look good and
they represent easy time… and that’s how software should be.
