Digital UK- Digital Television Supplier Search |

As part of the Digital UK's Switch to Digital campaign, Solstice were asked to develop a website to allow members of the public to search for their nearest supplier of Digital Television.
Following a nationwide television and media campaign, the website has proved popular with members of the public wishing to learn more about the Digital Switchover.
The website and search engine is now hosted and maintained by Solstice.

The department of Trade and Industry's Clear Skies programme is a major grants initiative to provide renewable energy installations for individual households or community projects.
From the offset it was intended that the programme should be internet focused with applicants encouraged to apply online.
The programme has proven highly popular since its launch in March this year and the system has comfortably handled an average of approximately 1000 visits per day.

Sustainable Learning |

The Sustainable Learning website is a feature rich yet simple and engaging website aimed at schools in the UK to access information and support to help them take better control over their energy and water use.
A comprehensive back-end administration system allows site administrators to directly control site content and layout, and provides a simple wizard style interface for the creation and publication of interactive questionnaires.
The site also provides an online community where schools, Local Education Authorities and any nominated Intermediaries can discuss ideas. Supporting documentation can be easily uploaded by the site administrator and is then automatically made available to users as they progress through the scheme.
The system is now hosted and maintained by Solstice. |

DfES Energy and Water Collection |
|
An energy and water data collection tool designed and developed by Solstice on behalf of DfES, Its primary use is to collect energy and water data from schools for government benchmarking and to help inform energy efficiency initiatives.
LEAs can either submit school data online using the simple input screens, or they can save and download their progress as a spreadsheet. The user can they complete this spreadsheet offline before uploading it again to fully complete their data submission.
The system was written in conjunction with Sustainable Learning, and is now hosted and maintained by Solstice.

WRAP Toolkit |

Solstice were responsible for developing a sophisticated online tool for use within the construction sector.
the aim of the toolkit is to help determine the percentage of recycled content in a new building. The toolkit also identifies the largest opportunities to increase the overall use of recycled material in the building.
The tool was launched in Building Magazine on 1st February 2006.

CRed |

The University of East Anglia's Decarbonisation Project (CRed) is an ambitious initiative to bring about major carbon emission reduction within a real world community (the city of Norwich). Solstice is contracted to manage the data required and generated by the project, and develop and maintain the project's online resource.
The need to engage the people of Norwich is considered to be central to the success of CRed and the online resource is considered to be an important element to this. Therefore, the resource needed to be visually appealing, user friendly and easy to navigate and utilise.
The system is hosted and maintained on Solstice servers. |

Developed for ITAP international, competency profiler is a sophisticated corporate level tool for managing staff resources, defining job profiles and matching them to staff skills.
The system allows administrative users to define their own competency survey model in terms of guidance text, scoring models and format and provides an extensive suite of analysis and reporting modules.

Good Energy Advice |
| This is a major government sponsored initiative, developed so that consumers can be assured of accurate and relevant energy efficiency advice and information. Specifically, the Domestic Energy Efficiency Advice Code of Practice provides a Good Practice standard for the whole of the energy efficiency advice industry.
From the outset it was intended that the program would be based around an online resource, supporting all the needs of both public users and industry practitioners.
Solstice created the resource, which went live in September 2003 and is now hosted and maintained on Solstice servers. |

Chelveston Renewable Energy Park is to be situated at Chelveston Aerodrome, a disused airfield in Northamptonshire.
Solstice were asked to develop an informative and eye catching website to provide information and a means for discussion regarding the proposed construction.
Members of the public can register and access the discussion forums, whilst site administrators can edit the site content online using a WYSIWYG interface.

The website features translations into the main European languages, and is hosted and supported by Solstice servers. |

Released in 2006, Solstice worked closely with Failte to produce a comprehensive online resource for the promotion of energy efficiency within the hospitality sector across the isle of Ireland.
This exciting project is set to make inroads into carbon reduction within this sector and has already generated interest from other European partners. |

Whole Life Cost Forum |

The Whole Life Cost Forum are an industry focus group created to promote the inclusion of whole life costing within construction. As part of this the development of an easy to use online tool was a principle aim. Solstice was commissioned to develop a system that provides users with an intuitive interface, and personalised home pages; from which proposed construction projects can be defined and built up from menu driven elemental lists.

| Solstice were commissioned to create a high profile online resource for the Building Research Establishment's public finance initiative unit. The unit required a means to disseminate and promote their previous work through online case studies and a portal through which they can engage both new and existing clients.

Best Cert is a concise demonstration of a system which can be used to model any building, whilst dynamically calculating likely energy use and emissions.
By centralising key data of potentially every new building project in the UK, the system aims to provide a standard and reliable means of certificating new builds for compliance to government guidelines.
The system creates an accurate model of a building using benchmark figures, and provides the user with a dynamically generated certificate in PDF format. |
